What Should Siding My Home Cost?

Sturdy Residential Home Siding

Siding your home is a big project; it is among the most costly remodeling projects alongside kitchen remodels and home-additions. Re-siding your home can take several days if not weeks depending on the size of the crew and experience level.

Selecting your siding product is a very important decision that will allow you to better compare quotes and contractors. Cost will vary based on the siding product you select, typically with Vinyl Siding options being the most cheap and inexpensive. Other composite siding options and foam-backed-vinyl siding are more expensive, but all these are inferior siding products in terms of protecting your home.

Some of our competitors charge extremely high prices for James Hardie Color Plus siding; others prefer only to install Primed siding & offer to paint. Some companies use high-pressure sales tactics, with “today’s price” that will only go up if you wait.

As with any home project, getting a few quotes is always a good idea. Compared to some of our high-pressure competitors, we often hear from customers we were 20-40% less expensive — consistently our customers tell us we saved them thousands and sometimes tens of thousands of dollars.
